Samsung launches Galaxy S III in India for Rs. 43,180

Just two days after the international debut, Samsung India has officially unveiled Galaxy S III in India today. Powered by Android 4.0 and 1.4GHz quad core processor, this company flagship will go on sale in the country starting today.



 


The smartphone will be priced at Rs. 43,180. The pricing is higher than HTC's flagship model One X, which is also the direct competitor to this smartphone.


The Galaxy S III will be available to Vodafone customers with free 3GB data per month for two months. The offer is valid until 31st August. (Read: Samsung Galaxy S III: 10 features for the 'human' touch)

The device features a 4.8inch display, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera and 2100 mAh battery.

The smartphone also comes with several new features that weren't available in company's Galaxy series till now, like Smart Stay, Direct Call, and Popup Video. (Also see: Samsung Galaxy S III: 10 features for the 'human' touch)


Samsung has also partnered with Dropbox to provide Galaxy S III buyers 50GB of free cloud storage for two years.

Company aims to launch the smartphone with 300 mobile operators around the world by the end of July.
